“Your Lord has not forsaken you, nor has He forgotten.” (Surah Ad-Duha 93:3)
The wind was sharp, the night silent. Sara sat on a park bench, arms wrapped around herself, feeling utterly lost. Her mother was sick. Her job—gone.
“Ya Allah,” she whispered, eyes scanning the sky. “Have you forgotten me?“
Then, a faint cry. A shivering kitten stumbled from the shadows. Without hesitation, Sara scooped it up, holding it close. “You’re cold too, huh?” she whispered, the warmth of the tiny creature softening her grief.
She took the kitten home, feeding it the last of her milk. In its small, trembling life, she found reason to keep going.
Days later, she saw an elderly woman struggling with heavy bags. Sara rushed to help.
“You remind me of my daughter,” the woman said tearfully. “You’re not alone, Aunty,” Sara replied. “I’m here.”
A few days later, that same woman returned—with news of a job. A lifeline. A way to care for her mother.
Sara stood in stunned silence. Her quiet prayers had been heard. She looked up, heart brimming with gratitude.
Her Lord had never forgotten her.
